503. Radio 3 & RSC
20th October, 2009
So.
The Theatre 503 PLaylist evening was a hoot! I had such a lovely time. All the plays were excellent - and I was really happy with the performances, direction and everything about the piece really. So. Clap Clap Clap.
I hope I get to work with them some more and am gonna have a think about writing them something so irresistable that they just have to put it on :)
Now...In addition I've been chosen as one of a few North East Writers to have a short Radio PLay recorded this Saturday at The Sage in Gateshead. I don't know who the cast is, or what or how the recording will take place. But still how exciting.
It's all part of this BBC Free Thinking Festival that is happening over this weekend....which looks brilliant - and features the lovely Tanya Byron and the really quite dishy David Milliband amongst others...Oh and me!! That link above takes you to an event called 'Speed Dating with a Thinker' which is apparently an event that Radio 3 have run before. But get this kids. I'm one of the 'Thinkers'. I know. It's like entering a parallel universe.
I can barely spell. Have no idea about apostrophes - but here I am having the sheer gall to go on radio as a Thinker. Well it's all a laugh!
Oh and on Monday - most excitingly I start work with the RSC...YES YOU HEARD RIGHT!. They are up for their Newcastle Season and are going to be working with two North East Based writers. Dick Curran is one - and I, dear friends am the other.
This is so monumental that I shall stop right now.
Fingers crossed for a blast of a few weeks.
